Webinar on Neurodiversity in the Workplace
A new online seminar titled "Neurodiversity: What Is It? Symptoms, Types, Strengths & Challenges" will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 14:00 to 15:00. The event is organized by the Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination Committee (GEADC) of CERTH, in collaboration with the Autism Association of Larissa and the National GEADC Network of Research Centers and Independent Research Institutes. The seminar aims to raise awareness within the research community about combating discrimination, emphasizing the fundamental idea that human brains develop, function and organize in diverse ways as part of a natural evolutionary process. But what are the differences in thinking, learning, and behavior among neurodivergent individuals? What conditions, challenges, and disorders fall under the umbrella of neurodiversity? This educational session will explore these questions, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of behaviors that may seem unusual, peculiar or different to others. Additionally, practical guidance will be provided on how to support and interact with neurodivergent individuals effectively.
The event will be held online via Webex, conducted in Greek and recorded for future reference.
